Will you light my candle? Join us for a party to benefit the Adalah Justice Project

I’m delighted to invite you to a raucous, antizionist Chanukah Party to benefit the Adalah Justice Project, organized by Jewish Voice for Peace - New York City, online on Monday, December 6, 5-6pm PT / 8-9pm ET.

If you appreciate the critical work of Adalah Justice Project and enjoy a good time, then trust me, you don't want to miss this! RSVP now! And invite friends.

Hosted by performers Morgan Bassichis and Una Aya Osato, the virtual community event will feature comedy and burlesque, political inspiration, an amazing DJ, and surprise guests. It’ll be a Chanukah Party because one of our mandates at JVP is to reclaim Judaism — a thousands year-old tradition — from its deadly cooptation by a 73 year-old apartheid state.

Whether or not you can make it, join us in giving generously to support Adalah Justice Project  for the long haul. All donations to Adalah Justice Project up to $50,000 before December 31 are being matched by a group of generous supporters, so your gift will be doubled if you give now.

This May and June, we witnessed with awe as the Palestinian Unity Uprising rose up against Israel’s reign of terror, spurring a watershed moment of worldwide solidarity. The question now, when the headlines have quieted down, is how to transform what my younger cousin called a “mass awakening" into BDS victories and US policy wins.

That’s why we’re committed to collectively resourcing the work of the Adalah Justice Project. Because we know that it was their years of cross-movement building with the Movement for Black Lives that led to the tipping point with Ben and Jerry’s, winning the most significant BDS victory in recent years. Because they keep up the exhausting but essential work of bringing Palestinian demands to the halls of congress. Because they lead with a commitment to collective liberation, for all of us.

We’re committed to resourcing their work because the Adalah Justice Project serves as a compass for groups like JVP-NYC. And because we know Palestinian leaders are up against too many obstacles to count, and they deserve to be flanked by the rest of us.

So join us in honoring Adalah Justice Project on Monday, December 6 to support their work for the long haul.

And come too to replenish yourself. In this long and painful struggle, we know joy and community are resources, too.

With love and solidarity,
